Part 20 What's going on?
Dennis Sutton February 2009
How confused are you? Well it all depends on Neptune in your birthchart! But when it comes to the world's economic crisis everyone's confused. Neptune causes everything to become unrealistic. He exaggerates and distorts people's expectations and creates an easy-money bubble that sooner or later must burst. And when the bubble bursts Saturn generates fear, anxiety and panic. He's the planet of contraction, falling prices, falling property values, debt burdens, bankruptcies and unemployment. The only thing that goes up under Saturn is the unemployment figure. In 2008, after a prolonged period of economic expansion, the bubble burst -with cataclysmic suddenness - and Barack Obama has to deal with the economic firestorm. Jupiter conjunct Neptune in the Aquarian Age chart was having the most fun until Saturn opposition Uranus in the sky caused the economy to slump (Saturn) - heralding a Global-Age economic crisis.
The Pluto period of the Aquarian Age commenced with Pluto's discovery in 1930 and this astrological event, and the stimulus to the Lower-Pluto thought-force, has instigated what can only be called an Age of Horrible Events. Lower-Pluto works through coercion and it's very widespread. Self-interest is the primary driver and coercion is its chief lieutenant. All developed countries engage in economic and military coercion and coercion is looked upon as a legitimate means to the end. But coercion is a highly destructive behaviour and this means it will always have an adverse destructive outcome. Talk of cooperation and cooperative effort is empty talk when coercion is being used to force the various parties to cooperate. Lower-Pluto, through terror, dread, horror, coercion, duress, threats and intimidation, is intent on the deliberate and systematic brutalization of the human soul: And these destructive states of consciousness represent threats to the soul's psychological wellbeing. They retard the effective and purposeful evolution of the soul's consciousness and represent an abuse of the soul's human-rights.
Solving problems is very often a rear vision (Saturn) exercise. History it seems is a text book packed with fundamentals - a ready reference full of solutions - and world leaders and historians look to history to find solutions to current problems. They assume that humanity's story is a series of repeating events that are the result of behaviour - actions and reactions - causes and solutions - that can be observed retrospectively. The past is used as a learning tool, but while behaviour (human nature) remains the same it operates in a constantly changing environment: And the astrological environment, that pulls the strings, is constantly changing too. This means that recurring astrological events in the sky are never exactly the same and neither are the events they cause. When observed closely history never really repeats itself. And from humanity's perspective the astrological events occurring in the sky during 2009 and 2010 are a whole new 'global-age' ball game. The picture they paint is not pretty - the astrological environment has turned discordant, ominous and very nasty.
The current socio-economic environment invites the human soul to delight in a smorgasbord of life-experiences. And this environment recognizes that many people are unable to make personal judgements regarding their own conduct - they don't know right from wrong. To rein in bad behaviour the ruling authority has set rules that are designed to regulate 'bad' behaviour, but some people are naturally inclined to break the rules.
During the Pluto Period of the Aquarian Age so many world leaders have a prominent Pluto in their birthcharts - very often a Pluto that is much more prominent than the Sun. Even though democratically elected these leaders wield a great deal of dictatorial positional power - a Pluto trait. The times seem to favour a situation where rather than being ruled by the Sun, Pluto dictates and tells the Sun what to do.
Two important considerations explain why each country experiences the same astrological event differently. Firstly each country has its own unique astrological event chart that details, by the house positions of the planets, which mundane-matters will be influenced by the astrological event; and secondly each country has its own unique mundane landscape. At all times the astrological environment must operate through the current situation and each country has its own unique 'here and now'.
In Astrology the planets can form ten angular relationships or aspects. Each one varies in its strength (or power) - and harmony or discord - and in mundane astrology power is the key issue. In the reference textbook Mundane Astrology CC Zain puts the focus on the conjunction, opposition, square and trine aspects because these aspects have the most power - and with more power their capacity to demonstrate important events is increased. The conjunction aspect brings specific mundane-matters into prominence. The opposition and square aspects mark for discord events - problems and difficulties; and the trine aspect manifests as fortunate events and good news - if you can find it.
Following the precedent set in Mundane Astrology I have focused on the conjunction, opposition, square and trine aspects involving the major planets - Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. But the planets do form (weaker) minor aspects and while these lack power they are well worth observing. For example on January 30, 2009 at 11.03pm GMT Jupiter and Saturn in the sky form a sesquisquare aspect: On October 5, 2009 at 3.08am GMT Uranus and Neptune form a semisextile aspect and on December 12, 2009 at 5.19pm GMT Jupiter and Uranus form a semisextile aspect. Observation will confirm the extent to which these aspects exert an influence on the mundane trends at the time.
The original mundane research ignored the influence of the (powerful) parallel aspect - most likely because of the aspect's very uncertain timing. New research reveals that the parallel aspect does exert a powerful influence and I have included the parallel aspects formed by the outer planets in this commentary: But at all times great discrimination is needed when matching mundane events with their astrological causal factors.
The level of astrological discord is measured in discordynes and research has revealed that as the level of discord increases so does the level of misfortune. Precise prediction requires the accurate conversion of the numbers into real life events.
Over the next four (4) years all the major astrological players (except Neptune) are involved in high-discord aspects - and the astrological environment will transmit a high-discord vibration that will impact on the earth as economic hardship, financial turmoil, social unrest, drastic developments and, when Mars joins in, strife and conflict.
A signs in the sky overview - February 2009-December 2012
During 2009 and 2010 the astrological landscape is painting a very ugly picture: Saturn is opposition Uranus, Saturn is parallel Uranus, Jupiter is conjunct Neptune, Saturn is square Pluto, Jupiter is opposition Saturn, Jupiter is conjunct Uranus, Jupiter is square Pluto and Uranus is square Pluto. Jupiter trine Pluto during 2011and early 2012 and Saturn trine Neptune between July 2012 and October 2013 are the only significant harmony events.
Hermetic Astrology proposes that the discord taking place in the astrological environment, and pictured in each of the astrological event charts, will manifest on the Earth through the actions of those souls in leadership positions who have the same planets, involved in the discord, prominent in their birthcharts: And Barack Obama has Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn prominent in his chart. And because Uranus, the planet of radical change, and Mars, the planet of war, are involved in powerful progressed aspects during his presidency they will attain temporary prominence status.
Mars in Obama's birthchart is in the 7th house (war) and it's highly likely that he will respond strongly to each Mars conjunction and because they occur quite regularly, unlike some of the mentioned aspects, they have been included in this overview of what's going on in the sky. Even the opposition, square and parallel aspects involving Mars are well worth observing - and while their mundane equivalents often lead the news they really have low-level significance. They are too numerous to consider in a work of this type, but usually - within 48 hours of the aspect's peak date - there's an upsurge in Mars events - strife, conflicts, fights, rows, accidents, fires, acts of violence, brawls etc
An aspect's start date or month determines when it's been listed and assessed - and some aspects have a time-frame covering several years.
Saturn opposition Uranus - August 2008-October 2010
This slow-moving high-discord astral earthquake is perfect four (4) times during the Obama Presidency - and Saturn is parallel Uranus at the same time. Saturn is the planet of convention, tradition, greed, fear, selfishness, work, protectionism, debt, deficits, recession and weather. His three big problems are security, unemployment and poverty. Uranus is the planet of the new and untried, radical change, unexpected developments, technology, electronics, liberation movements, racism, strikes, protests, discontent and shock therapy. His three big problems are extremism, social unrest and an over-reliance on technology to solve the problem. Saturn opposition Uranus marks for economic carnage, work and employment problems, job shedding, security problems, problems for the mining, electronics and IT sectors, depressed commodity prices, technology breakdowns, electricity failures, racial unrest, labour unrest, strikes and demonstrations: And as unemployment grows so will the level of social unrest. A social revolution is brewing as the gap between the rich (employed) and poor (unemployed) generates widespread social discontent. Rather than pleasant transformation this aspect marks for painful revolutionary change. Saturn is in Virgo (labour and work) except between October 30, 2009 and April 8, 2010 when he's in Libra (war and marriage). Uranus is in Pisces (relief measures, restrictions, crime and disappointment).
Mars conjunct Jupiter
February 1-March 6, 2009 and April 13-May 20, 2011
Mars conjunct Jupiter brings the mundane matters ruled by Mars and Jupiter into prominence and this means that what happens will be given prominent coverage in the print and electronic media. Mars is the planet of strife and Jupiter is the planet of finances and their conjunction in the sky highlights financial strife, a financial firestorm, a money war, reckless spending, cavalier extravagance, wild optimism, military spending, aggressive money-making, violent attacks on bankers, religion and God's workers and legal disputes. The February 2009 conjunction is in Aquarius (human-rights and humanitarian issues) and the May 2011 conjunction is in Aries (military matters and manufacturing).
Mars conjunct Neptune
February 23-March 22, 2009 and February 6-March 7, 2011
Mars conjunct Neptune marks for war, an upsurge in violence, accidents, utopian moves to end the fighting, oil disputes, oil fires, drug related violence, fantasy violence, strife for the airline and pharmaceutical industries, plane crashes, reckless idealism and wild schemes. Both conjunctions are in Aquarius (human-rights and altruism).
Jupiter conjunct Neptune
March 2009-February 2010
This astrological event in the sky will act as a stimulus to Jupiter conjunct Neptune in the Aquarian Age chart - the instigator of the financial bubble in 2007. It's perfect three (3) times during 2009 and marks for major changes to the financial sector and banking practices. The two planets caused the credit crisis but now they're involved in trying to unfreeze the frozen funds. Jupiter is the planet of capitalism, finances, the banks and banking practices and Neptune is the planet of schemes, exaggerated expectations, easy-credit, socialism and the Wall St investor. Jupiter and Neptune are in Aquarius (altruism, human-rights, the car industry and astrology). The two planets also form a parallel aspect.
Uranus square Pluto
March 2009 - June 2018
If you give the square aspect in the sky a 10° orb of influence then Uranus will move to form a square aspect with Pluto in March 2009. At this time Uranus is in Pisces and Pluto is in Capricorn. On May 29, 2010 Uranus moves to Aries - the militant zodiac sign that rules military matters and manufacturing, but his major eight (8) years transit of Aries doesn't start till March 12, 2011. In June and July 2011the Uranus-Pluto square is close to perfect, but it's not until June 24, 2012 that the first of their seven (7) square aspects is formed. Uranus is the planet of unexpected developments, sudden, revolutionary change, radical extremists, social unrest, discontentment, protests and technology. Pluto is the planet of dictatorship, terrorism, inversion, coercion, organized crime, corruption, globalization, groups and transition: And this high-discord square aspect marks for widespread social unrest, strikes, protests and demonstrations, drastic action to control the unrest, dictatorial control, radical action by extremist groups, technological breakdowns and painful transition. Uranus is in Aries and Pluto is in Capricorn (government administration, diplomatic moves and business).
Astro flashback: Uranus was last in Aries between January 1928 and March 1935. Pluto was in Cancer and the two planets formed a square aspect five (5) times - on April 21, 1932, September 2, 1932, March 8, 1933, November 5, 1933 and January 18, 1934. In the Brotherhood of Light text, Mundane Astrology, CC Zain gives a detailed account of what happened and sums up the whole situation by stating 'And each time (the square aspect was formed) there was a shattering of precedent in America, in Europe and in the Orient.' This time around the details are slightly different. Pluto's in Capricorn and the aspect is formed seven (7) times.
Mars conjunct Uranus
April 1- April 30 2009 and March 21-April 18, 2011
Mars conjunct Uranus highlights a dangerous moment, an upsurge in extremist violence, war, aggressive action by the freedom fighters, radical action by the rebels, violent social unrest, violent rebellions, violent strikes, protests and demonstrations, violent racism, extreme hate, radical military maneuvers, horrific revelations, an exposé involving the police or military, killing technology, fires, anti-war demonstrations and an altogether very disturbing time. The April 2009 conjunction is in Pisces (restrictions, relief measures and disappointments) and the April 2011 conjunction is in Aries (military matters, military leadership and manufacturing).
Saturn square Pluto
August 2009-November 2010
This high-discord astrological event marks for painful economic transition, drastic attempts to deal with the world's economic problems, a world-wide employment problem, increasing levels of poverty, a drastic security situation and destructive weather events. It has a 15-month time-frame. Saturn is the planet of poverty, work, economy, security and weather events and Pluto is the planet of drastic action, coercion, enforced cooperation, dictatorial power, persuasion, groups, mob rule, blockades, division and disunity, the welfare community and humanitarian groups. A dire economic and employment situation requires drastic action. The aspect forms three (3) times. Saturn is in Libra (marriage and war) and Pluto is in Capricorn (government administration, diplomacy and big business).
Saturn parallel Uranus
Sept-Oct 09, March-April 2010 and Aug-Nov 2010
The Saturn-Uranus parallel aspects in the sky will add intensity to the Saturn-Uranus oppositions although each one, via its own chart, will have an independent influence on the mundane agenda. The parallel aspect is formed four (4) times and the first has Saturn in Virgo (work and labor) and Uranus in Pisces (relief for the unemployed). The other three have Saturn in Libra (war and marriage) and Uranus in Pisces.
Mars conjunct Jupiter in the Aquarian Age chart
October 2009- June 2012
This financially reckless aspect in the Aquarian Age chart will bring the financial predators out in force. They're going global as the aggressive pursuit of money gets a turbo-charged boost. There's a money-war, fierce competition for trade and financial advantages and a reckless money grab by governments, banks and financial houses. The aspect proves that some souls find money the ultimate aphrodisiac. On the other hand Mars is the planet of surgery and it's highly likely that the economy will require life saving financial surgery so expect bigger than big economic stimulus packages. The aspect peaks on February 15, 2011 - one month before progressed Sun trine Jupiter is perfect in the US chart - and five months before progressed Sun is trine Jupiter in Barack Obama's chart.
Jupiter opposition Saturn
April-October 2010 and February-April 2011
The signs in the sky are very ominous as Jupiter the planet of capitalism, banks, profits, expansion, currencies, the world's financial system, commerce and trade moves to form a high-discord opposition (separation) aspect with Saturn the planet of economy, contraction, poverty, unemployment, anxiety, fear, protectionism, basic commodities, the mining and farming sectors, weather and disease. This very stressful astrological event will replicate itself as economic and financial problems. It seems the previous attempts to overcome the economic difficulties and manage the financial crisis have failed - so the economic carnage continues. The aspect forms three (3) times - the first has Jupiter in Pisces and Saturn in Virgo (labour and work) and the second and third have Jupiter in Aries (manufacturing and military leadership) and Saturn in Libra (war, marriage and divorce).
Jupiter conjunct Uranus
April 2010-February 2011
The high-discord aspects in the sky mark for people behaving badly and the problems they cause. Governments have been elected to solve these problems and, if necessary, to regulate the bad behaviour. Jupiter conjunct Uranus puts the financial and banking sector in the spotlight. It marks for unexpected financial shocks, some shock therapy for the banks and financial sector, a sensational financial exposé, radical moves affecting trade and commerce and in the interest of reining in bad financial behaviour radical political moves to reform and regulate the financial and banking sectors. The aspect forms three (3) times. The first Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is in Aries (manufacturing and military matters) and the second and third are in Pisces (relief measures, crime and self-undoing).
Jupiter square Pluto
May 2010-March 2011
At this time there are two high-discord T-square aspects in the sky. Jupiter is conjunct Uranus and Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto and Uranus-Saturn-Pluto each form a T-square. One T-square is bad enough but two spells big trouble: And with Jupiter the financial planet and Saturn the planet of work, unemployment, economy and recession both involved it's a financially precarious economic situation. The Jupiter-Pluto square marks for an ugly financial situation that requires a drastic solution. It's a two-way energy exchange involving the ever expanding gap between the rich and poor, a new-age money grab by the corporate dictators, financial coercion, financial corruption, financial blockades, compulsory financial measures and a financial crime wave. The financial dictators and gangsters are preying on society and they're in positions of power. This aspect forms three (3) times - and Jupiter is in Aries (manufacturing and military matters) and Pluto is in Capricorn (diplomacy, government administration and big business).
Mars conjunct Saturn
July 9-August 20, 2010 and July 26-September 2, 2012
Mars conjunct Saturn turns the spotlight on war, war fears, heavy losses in the fighting, land disputes, economic warfare, a manufacturing slowdown, farming disputes, mining disputes, attacks on farmers, mining accidents, aggressive action by the farming and mining sectors, natural disasters and destructive weather events. On the economic front it marks for economic strife, a manufacturing slowdown and aggressive efforts to stimulate the economy. This high-discord energy merger will generate a high-level of anger, grief and suffering. Both conjunctions are in Libra (war, marriage and divorce).
Mars conjunct Pluto
December 1-December 28, 2010 and November 13-December 11, 2012
Mars conjunct Pluto highlites drastic violence, a very dangerous moment, horrific fighting, a killing spree, insidious massacres, mass destruction, military mishaps, a lack of cooperation, coercion, the use of inversion to distort the facts, division, accidents, fires, a surge of violent crime, hate crime, gang warfare, police brutality, torture and desperate attempts by the UN to stop the fighting. Both conjunctions are in Capricorn (diplomacy, deceit, business and government administration).
Jupiter trine Pluto
June 2011-April 2012
Following the financial mayhem, caused by Jupiter's squares and oppositions, comes a high harmony trine aspect between Jupiter and Pluto - a happy ending you could say as the world's financial markets are forced to comply with a new compulsory code of conduct. The aspect will impose new financial rules and regulations that are designed to regulate the banking and financial sectors - and protect the public from the unscrupulous operators. The aspect forms three (3) times and Jupiter is in Taurus (banks and money) and Pluto is in Capricorn (business, diplomacy and government administration).
Saturn trine Neptune
July 2012 - October 2013
The discordant aspects mark for misfortune, problems and struggle and in most instances someone is taking action to address the problem. The high-harmony trine aspect marks for good-fortune and solutions having a high success potential: And in July 2012 Saturn in the sky moves to form a trine aspect with Neptune. Saturn's mundane agenda includes the economic, debt and unemployment problems, the mining sector, farming, global warming and the damage caused by greed. As the acquisition planet his consumer spending accounts for 2/3rds of US economic activity. Neptune's mundane agenda includes the aviation, movie and pharmaceutical industries, oil, chemicals and inflation. Neptune's utopian idealism dreams up grandiose, but very often impractical, schemes - plans and projects designed to overcome or eliminate social problems. But at this time the very practical schemes will have a high chance of success. The aspect forms three (3) times and hits a critical state of peak harmony during June and July 2013. Saturn is in Scorpio (debt, taxes and death) and Neptune is in Pisces (relief measures, restrictions and rivers).
A signs in the sky time-line - 2009-2012 - for Washington
February 5, 2009 Saturn is opposition Uranus and phase 2 of the economic readjustment brings a raft of bad economic news. (By late January the US labor market was in free-fall with job cuts numbering 600,000 per month, and major companies around the globe were signaling their intention to shed jobs.) In the Washington chart Saturn is in the 8th house (debts and taxes) and Uranus is in the 2nd house (banks, $US and financial matters) - and the economic crisis hits the two financial houses. An unexpected financial dilemma (Uranus) impacts directly on $US and the currency is in for a sudden shock. Saturn in the 8th house marks for revenue raising problems, a slump in taxation revenue, tax-cuts, a credit squeeze, cash flow problems and defaults on loans.
February 17, 2009 Mars is conjunct Jupiter and in the Washington chart the Mars-Jupiter conjunction is in the 9th house (trade, legal matters, the law and religion). The aspect marks financial stimulus packages, trade strife and new financial regulations.
March 8, 2009 Mars is conjunct Neptune and in the Washington chart the Mars-Neptune conjunction is in the 11th house (Congress). Each Mars conjunction has a high conflict potential so this time an aggressive Congress will be preoccupied with some dispute. Oil could be a contentious issue. The aspect marks for a war on inflation. Neptune's outstanding tendency is to exaggerate - and confuse the public.
April 15, 2009 Mars is conjunct Uranus and in the Washington chart the Mars-Uranus conjunction is in the 12th house (relief, relief work, crime and sneak attacks). This conjunction maps an explosive situation - aggressive action by radical extremists, a sneak terror attack, race crime, racial violence, demonstrations, protests and violent social unrest. Innovative initiatives to help the unemployed and radical relief measures - but any gains will have to be fought for.
May 27, 2009 Jupiter is conjunct Neptune and in the Washington chart the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is in the 5th house (Wall St and the market place). The two planets generate an exaggerated level of optimism and this could cause Wall St to boom (a bit), but it's the financial uncertainty that's driving the investors crazy. The aspect highlights financial fraud, swindles, get rich quick schemes and rising inflation.
July 10, 2009 Jupiter is conjunct Neptune and in the Washington chart the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is in the 9th house (trade, import and export, the Supreme Court, the law, legal matters, new laws and religious matters). The aspect marks for new laws regulating the financial and banking system. Mars square Jupiter and Neptune on July 6 will stimulate this aspect indicating the date when a major Jupiter-Neptune event can occur.
September 15, 2009 Saturn is opposition Uranus and it's back with a third wave of unexpected economic and employment shocks. In the Washington chart Saturn is in the 12th house (relief work, charity, hospitals and crime) and Uranus is in the 6th house (labour and the unions). This chart marks for unemployment problems, job shedding, a heavy burden on relief (Saturn) - and labour unrest and radical action by workers (Uranus).
October 2, 2009 Saturn is parallel Uranus and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 2nd house (money matters, banks and $US) and Uranus is in the 8th house (debts, taxes and government spending). A not good financial situation as $US takes a plunge due to worse than expected news on the debt situation.
December 15, 2009 Saturn is square Pluto and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 9th house (trade, shipping, the courts and tourism) and Pluto is in the 1st house (domestic, home-grown issues). This aspect shows no mercy and the chart details a drastic economic situation, widespread hardship, a hard-line attitude by the courts and a tourism slump.
December 21, 2009 Jupiter is conjunct Neptune and in the Washington chart the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is in the 4th house (homes, the housing sector and weather.) There's high-level financial uncertainty and exaggerated financial expectations. A utopian financial stimulus package makes easy-money available to home buyers. The potential for fraud and swindle can't be ignored - neither can a mini-boom on Wall St and very strange and unusual weather conditions. House values could rise.
December 29, 2009 Jupiter is parallel Neptune and in the Washington chart both planets are in the 6th house (labor, the work-force and job market). Financial and other schemes are introduced to stimulate labor and benefit the workers.
January 31, 2010 Saturn is square Pluto and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 3rd house (roads, railways, the transport sector, press and neighboring countries) and Pluto is in the 5th house (Wall St and the market place). The economic slowdown and unemployment problems require a drastic response and new road and rail building programs are announced. Wall St suffers a drastic fall - commodity prices are down and the mining sector is recessed.
March 23, 2010 Saturn is parallel Uranus and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 8th house (debts and taxes) and Uranus is in the 2nd (banks, personal wealth and $US). The economic situation is taking its toll on wages, personal wealth and $US - it's in for some shock therapy.
April 26, 2010 Saturn is opposition Uranus and phase 4 of the economic readjustment beings a wave of unexpected economic problems. In the Washington chart Saturn is in the 11th house (Congress) and Uranus is in the 5th house (Wall St) - and Wall St tumbles big time and the traders are in a state of shock. An anxious Congress is paralyzed by fear.
May 23, 2010 Jupiter is opposition Saturn and in the Washington chart Jupiter is in the 1st house (domestic issues, the people and their welfare) and Saturn is in the 7th house (overseas developments, international affairs and foreign policy). The bad economic news coming from overseas financially benefits the US domestic economy.
June 8, 2010 Jupiter is conjunct Uranus and in the Washington chart the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is in the 10th house. This aspect marks for unexpected financial developments. The administration takes radical action, announces major financial reforms and imposes extreme new regulations on the banking sector.
July 24, 2010 Jupiter is square Pluto and in the Washington chart Jupiter is in the 1st house (domestic, home-grown issues) and Pluto is in the 10th (the administration and business). The chart has 110 discordynes and the 10 day period between now and August 3 represents a critical peak in discord. This chart marks for a drastic financial situation involving the banks and financial markets that will have far reaching implications.
July 26, 2010 Saturn is opposition Uranus and phase 5 of the economic readjustment brings a tidal wave of unexpected bad economic news. In the Washington chart Saturn is in the 11th house (Congress) and Uranus in the 5th house (Wall St and the market). Wall St is in for some more shock therapy and an anxious and fearful Congress takes a hard line approach. The aspect tends towards unemployment shocks, revolutionary change, widespread social unrest, destructive weather or a natural disaster -that will hit with cataclysmic suddenness. Uranus makes precise prediction almost impossible.
July 31, 2010 Mars is conjunct Saturn and in the Washington chart the Mars-Saturn conjunction is in the 4th house (homes and weather events). The chart has 254 discordynes and the signs are very ominous. A natural disaster - an earthquake or destructive weather event - flood - is likely, with a heavy loss of life and severe damage to homes and property.
August 3, 2010 Jupiter is square Pluto and in the Washington chart Jupiter is in the 4th house (homes) and Pluto is in the 1st (the people and domestic issues). Most likely this chart maps the aftermath of what happened four days earlier around July 31. It has 236 discordynes and there's a massive amount of destruction requiring a huge financial assistance package. Stress levels are through the roof - and you can watch it all on the 6 o'clock news.
August 16, 2010 Jupiter is opposition Saturn and in the Washington chart Jupiter is in the 3rd house (transportation, roads and rail infrastructure) and Saturn is in the 9th house (interstate commerce, television, court decisions and religion). This chart has 147 discordynes which, when you crunch the numbers, means high level financial stress.
August 21, 2010 Saturn is square Pluto and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 2nd house (financial matters and banks) and Pluto is in the 5th house (Wall St, the market, children, schools and entertainment). This chart has 110 discordynes and the bad economic news has an adverse impact on the financial sector and $US and Wall St responds with a drastic slump. This is the final Saturn-Pluto square and it's time to sit down and assess the damage bill.
August 21, 2010 Saturn is parallel Uranus and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 7th house (off-shore developments) and Uranus is in the 1st house (home-grown domestic issues). This chart has 106 discordynes and there's heightened gloom on the economic front and scary overseas developments - widespread social unrest due to unemployment.
September 19, 2010 Jupiter is conjunct Uranus and in the Washington chart the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is in the 12th house (relief for the unemployed, charity and the hospital and prison systems). This aspect marks for unexpected financial events, radical trade reforms and, at Washington, the financial reformation of the hospital system and new and innovative relief measures to assist the unemployed and oppressed.
October 11, 2010 Saturn is parallel Uranus and in the Washington chart Saturn is in the 1st house (domestic economic problems) and Uranus is in the 7th (overseas developments). Locally there's high unemployment and economic hardship and overseas there's widespread social unrest - antigovernment protests, strikes and revolutions.
December 13, 2010 Mars is conjunct Pluto and in the Washington chart the Mars-Pluto conjunction is in the 4th house (lands and territories, homes and weather events). The signs in the sky have turned hostile and this ominous 'war' chart has high-discord connections between the 4th and 7th houses. It marks for a terror attack on a US building, landmark or territory - or a very destructive weather event.
January 4, 2011 Jupiter is conjunct Uranus and in the Washington chart the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is in the 2nd house. Mars, the planet of war, in the 1st house is conjunct the Ascendant but the charts main focus is on financial reforms and unexpected financial developments affecting the banking sector and $US.
February 20, 2011 Mars is conjunct Neptune and in the Washington chart the Mars-Neptune conjunction is in the 4th house (lands, territories, homes and weather events). The 4th house in the previously assessed Mars-Pluto conjunction chart and this chart are the same with the Sun and Mercury conjunct the Mars-Pluto and Mars-Neptune conjunctions. The 4th house dominates the chart and is high in discord. High level destruction to buildings and homes is indicated. Neptune stands for oil, aviation and chemical weapons.
February 25, 2011 Jupiter is square Pluto and in the Washington chart Jupiter is in the 9th house (trade, shipping, higher education and universities) and Pluto is in the 5th house (Wall St, the market and schools). Jupiter square Pluto marks for drastic financial events, financial problems affecting the humanitarian community, increased spending on ships, schools and universities, legal setbacks for the administration and a crime wave on Wall St - the chart actually has 108 harmodynes.
March 28, 2011 Jupiter is opposition Saturn and in the Washington chart Jupiter is in the 7th house (war and overseas developments) and Saturn is in the 1st house (domestic issues). The off-shore financial developments will have an adverse impact on the US economy and unemployment. The chart has 119 discordynes.
April 3, 2011 Mars is conjunct Uranus and in the Washington chart the Mars-Uranus conjunction is in the 7th house (war, open-enemies and foreign policy).
