Stellar Diagnosis and Stellar Healing.
Part VII. Diagnosis and Treatment: Amnesia to Brethren.
by C.C. Zain
Amnesia.Birth-chart Constant: Prominent, and usually afflicted, Mercury and Moon.
Progressed Constant: Afflictions to Mercury or the Moon, at the same time there are other heavy afflictions to Neptune or Pluto. The prominence of Mercury and Moon, and the progressed aspect to one or more of these mental rulers, enables the negative afflicting planetary energies to break the etheric connection between the astral body and the physical body. These negative planetary energies which, as rallying forces, gain access to the Mercury dynamic structure or to the Moon dynamic structure, permit the reception of a variety of vibratory rates which effectually, for the time being, block the interchange between the individual's astral brain , where all memory resides, and his physical brain.
Stellar Treatment: Should have for immediate object the reestablishment of proper coordination between the astral brain and the physical brain. And for this purpose the patient should be supplied with solar etheric energy, and the place of the negative planets involved should be given the orange astral energy of the Sun to build up a positive resistance to invading vibrations.
Usually loss of memory is coincident with toxic poisoning or some other serious bodily disturbance which should receive treatment according to its nature. Mercury or the Moon, according to which is afflicted, should be treated with the planetary energy of its antidote.
Chart 249; male. Nov. 22, 1863, 11:02 a.m. 93:30W. 41-15N.
Mercury on M.C. conjunction Mars, and Moon square Asc.
Nov. 1, 1932, as progressed, with Mercury square Moon r and Sun square Pluto p, There was a temporary loss of memory. Again, on Oct. 10, 1933, while Mercury was still square the Moon r, and the Sun was square Pluto r, there was another temporary loss of memory.
Anemia. Constants for Pernicious Anemia seem to be the same, except more severe Birth-chart Constant: Neptune and Saturn prominent, and usually severely afflicted. Mars also afflicted.
Progressed Constant: An aspect to Mars, and usually also to Saturn or Neptune and at the same time there are heavy progressed affliction.
Stellar Treatment: Anemia is oxygen starvation due to too little of the red hemoglobin in the red blood corpuscles, or too few red blood corpuscles. Red blood corpuscles can only be built when supplied with proper foods, as explained in lesson 225, yet when the proper foods are present there must be the ability to utilize them. And for the handling of the essential proteins the secretions of the adrenal glands are important.
The negative condition requires the application of Solar astral energies harmoniously to the regions mapped by Neptune and Saturn, as both of these planets affect the adrenals. The Solar astral energy also will assist the thyroid in energy production. The afflicted Mars structure should be reharmonized and strengthened through the application of Lunar astral energies. Proper diet and harmonious positive thinking are essential.
Chart 250; male. May 16, 1889, 6:00a.m. 87-50W. 42N.
Saturn is in good aspect to Mercury and Moon, and thus is prominent. Neptune is conjunction Sun, Mars and Pluto. Mars is severely afflicted through being conjunction the negative planets Neptune and Pluto, and opposition the Moon.
The patient suffered from pernicious anemia. Oct. 6, 1932, as progressed, with Mars sextile Venus r and semi-sextile Neptune p, and Saturn sextile Uranus p, he suffered a severe attack and was taken to a hospital where a blood transfusion was performed. The heavy affliction at the time was Sun opposition Jupiter r. Jupiter rules the arterial blood stream and here plays a part; but in other cases on hand seems not to be involved.

Apolexy. Birth-chart Constant: A severe affliction in Libra or Scorpio, or less commonly Venus and Mars strongly afflicted, and prominent Sun.
Progressed Constant: and affliction to Mars.
Stellar Treatment: The birth-chart constants show (the region of the kidneys afflicted and a consequent weakening of the walls of the blood vessels and a thickening of the blood. A blood clot forms and created a pressure on the brain.) The planetary energy should be used which is the antidote for the afflictions to the kidneys. )The influence of Mars to unduly stimulate should be annulled through the use of Lunar planetary energies. And in the educational part of the treatment, and the thought-treatment given the solar plexus, the effort should be made to bring about a mental state of calmness and poise. The heart action, as shown by the Sun, is powerful. The walls of the blood vessels are weak. Mental excitement of any kind release adrenalin into the blood, and thus not merely increase the heart action, but increase the tendency of the blood to clot.
Diet, mental habits, and stellar treatment should be directed toward correcting the kidney difficulty, and toward a moderate, calm life free from undue Mars stimulation.
Chart 251; male. July 23, 1865, 4:52a.m. 10E. 54N.
Saturn is in Libra semi-square Mares. Sun is conjunction Asc. and Moon. Jan. 7, 1919, as progressed, with Sun P Mars and Mars opposition Neptune p, he died of an apoplectic stroke.
Appendicitis.Birth-chart Constant: A prominent and afflicted Uranus.
Progressed Constant: An aspect, usually an affliction, to Mars.
Stellar Treatment: This is primarily a disease of Uranus, and requires the application of Jupiter planetary energy directly to the dynamic stellar structure mapped by Uranus. Diet (Lesson No. 222) and thought treatment should have for their object the resoration of normal activity to the parathyroid glands. Sun light is essential.
The Mars aspect at the time the disease manifests disturb the adrenal glands and leads to a chemical imbalance with irritation to the appendix, the stellar cells of which, due to the condition mapped by Uranus, are weak and discordant. This disturbance of Mars may so reduce the output of adrenalin and intercortin that the normal chemical agents for resisting infection are not present in the blood. Pus then forms in the appendix, and if this condition increases, the poisons spread through the blood stream and cause death.
Lunar planetary energies should be applied to the Mars dynamic stellar structure and to the appendix. Lunar etheric energies also should be applied to the appendix to reduce the inflammation. If a pus condition already is present it must not be permitted to gain headway. If the appendix is already partially decomposed, or if the pus condition can not be checked, the appendix should be removed by an operation before the poisons spread through the blood stream.
(Irritation, anger and undue strain, through depletion of adrenalin and intercortin, are the temporary conditions, which often precede an attack.
Chart 252; male. May 6, 1895, 3:00a.m. 18E. 41N. Rudolph Valentino. Uranus is elevated and opposition both Sun and Mercury.
Aug. 23, 1926, as progressed, with Venus conjunction Mars p. Mercury conjunction Mars r, and the Sun sesqui-square Saturn p as a rallying force, this most popular of male movie stars underwent an operation for appendicitis. The operation was performed too late, as the poison already had spread through his system, and he died.
Arterio-Sclerosis.Birth-chart Constant: Prominent planets unusually noticeable in the fixed signs, and a prominent and afflicted Saturn.
Progressed Constant: An aspect to Saturn.
Stellar Treatment: Hardening of the arteries is not due to a large intake of calcium, but to the inability of the system properly to handle calcium and other food material. People who have this trouble frequently are heavy eaters. But the foods taken are not properly balanced. They lack essential elements. Calcium can not be properly handled unless vitamin D. is present. The other vitamins and mineral salts (lesson No. 224) are needed no merely to handle the calcium, but to keep a proper chemical balance in the blood stream with which to discourage brittleness in the walls of the vessels through which it flows.
Venus planetary energies applied to the Saturn dynamic structure of the astral body, and education in reference to diet, are the chief aids.
Chart 253; male. Sept 15, 1857, 9:50 a.m. 84-30W. 39N. Wm Howard Taft, Expresident of U.S. and Supreme Justice of U.S.
Uranus and Jupiter in Taurus in the 7th and Mars and the Moon in Leo in the 10th. Saturn has a very wide square to Mercury, but is not much afflicted. It does, however, aspect nearly every plaent in the chart. As Saturn was so little afflicted the difficulty appeared in old age, and he live to be 72.
March 8, 1930, as progressed, with Venus sesqui-square Saturn p and Mercury sesqui-square Saturn r, and Mars semi-square Mars and Moon r as rallying forces. he died of hardening of the arteries.
Arthritis. Birth-chart constant: Saturn and Uranus prominent, usually severely afflicted,
Progressed Constant: An aspect, usually an affliction, to Saturn.
Stellar Treatment: The action of Uranus upon the parathyroid glands upsets the mineral balance of the body. Calcium and vitamin D or sunlight are needed in the diet to assist the parathroids. And the planetary energies of Jupiter should be applied to the dynamic stellar structure mapped by Uranus in the birth-chart. The thought-treatment also should be directed to restoring the nervous system to a condition of less tension and more poise.
Saturn, through depressing the functions, and depriving the system of essential vitamins and minerals, causes certain minerals in the blood stream, which normally enter into harmless compounds but which are unable to do so while the chemical imbalance lasts, to crystallize out and become deposited where they do damage.
As Saturn is the progressed constant, the mineral salts and vitamins are important in the diet. And the planetary energy of Venus should be applied harmoniously to the dynamic stellar structure mapped by Saturn, and to the part of the body where the disease chiefly manifests. And because Saturn, through the temporary aerial formed, tends to depress the functions, both the etheric energy of the Sun and the astral energy of the Sun should we generously applied, not merely to the seat of the disease, but also to its astrological reflex- - the sign oppositeto the end of increasing the vigor of these regions and the vitality as a whole.

Uranus is sextile Moon and square Sun. Saturn is sesqui-sqaure the Sun.
Arthritis made its appearance in 1931 under Sun opposition Saturn p. May 15, 1933, as progressed, with Sun opposition Saturn r and Venus opposition Saturn r, the difficulty became pronouncedly worse as the result of an unwise diet.
Asthma.Birth-chart Constant: Mercury afflicted, and one or more of the upperoctave planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) prominent and afflicted. Either afflictions in Gemini, or Mercury receiving heavy aspects.
Progressed Constant: An aspect to Mercury or to a planet in Gemini. afflictions give an abnormal sensitiveness to the nervous system with consequent muscular contractions of the smaller bronchial tubes. The influence of Mercury under such circumstances is to impair the action of the parathyroid glands, leading to a chemical imbalance which affects the lungs, or if the Gemini-Mercury influence is less pronounced, the mucus membrane of the mouth and nose, in which case there is hay fever.
As asthma is a nervous disease, the diet should be such as to enable the parathyroid glands to function properly. The nervous tension of the individual should be reduced through the application of Lunar etheric energies, and through thought-corrective treatments. The planetary energies of Jupiter should be applied to Mercury and to Uranus (if Uranus is involved). If the upper-octave planets are involved, their planetary antidotes should be applied to them to the end of decreasing the nervous tension and sensitiveness.

Mercury square Neptune; Uranus in Gemini in the sixth opposition the Sun; Pluto in the fourth.
In 1909, as progressed, with the Sun trine Uranus p in Gemini, and Mercury square Moon r, at the same time Mars came square Saturn as a rallying force, he developed asthma, from which he was troubled during the seven years which followed.
Astral Entities.See Obsession.
Atrophy.Birth-chart Constant: Saturn prominent and afflicted.
Progressed Constant: Heavy afflictions to Saturn, or less severe aspects to Saturn at the same time there are heavy adverse rallying forces.
Stellar Treatment: This starving, or wasting away, of the tissues arises from any one of several diseases of the Saturn type. Therefore, the disease which it accompanies must receive appropriate treatment.
Either the proper vitamins and mineral salts are lacking in the diet, or the system, when they are present, is unable properly to assimilate them. If, for instance, through mineral deposits resulting from chemical imbalance, the blood supply does not reach a tissue, it will atrophy.
As the blood supply tends to follow the nerve currents, the Solar etheric energy applied abundantly to the affected part is beneficial. The planetary energies to be used, aside from those specific to the disease which is responsible for atrophy, are the Venus energies applied both to the region mapped by Saturn in the birth-chart and to the tissues most affected, and the Solar planetary energies applied as directly as possible to the atrophying tissues.
Chart 254; male. Jan. 9, 1890, 4:00a.m. 90-20W. 39-45N. Movie Director.
Saturn elevated, sesqui-square Sun and Jupiter, square Neptune and Pluto,
In May, 1933, as progressed, with Sun opposition Saturn r, Venus opposition Saturn r, his lower limbs commenced to waste rapidly away as the result of arthritis.
Auto-Intoxication.Birth-chart Constant: Either a prominent and afflicted Saturn or a prominent and afflicted Jupiter, together with a heavy Mars affliction.
Progressed Constant: An aspect, usually an affliction, to Mars.
Stellar Treatment: Through depriving the system of vitamins and mineral salts and other necessities in the food, and through depressing the secretion of adrenalin, Saturn creates a chemical imbalance which favors the formation of various toxins. Jupiter, through overloading the system with foods, or with wrong combination of foods, which can not properly be handled, creates a chemical imbalance which encourages toxic conditions.
If Mars is harmonious the secretion of intercortin is able to neutralize this condition, unless it is very severe. But if Mars is inharmonious, there is insufficient intercortin for this purpose. Thus the condition, which may have been present in some degree for a long time, becomes pronounced under a progressed affliction to Mars.
If the condition is chiefly of the Saturn type, Venus planetary energies should be used on the Saturn dynamic structure, and Solar planetary energies should also be applied there. In addition to these astral energies, and proper diet, Solar etheric energies should be applied abundantly to give the constitution vigor. And Lunar planetary energies should be applied to the Mars dynamic structure.
If the condition is chiefly of the Jupiter type, Mercury planetary energies should be used on the Jupiter dynamic structure, and Solar planetary energies should also be applied there. In addition to these astral energies, and proper diet, Solar etheric energies should be applied abundantly to give the constitution vigor. And Lunar planetary energies should be applied to the Mars dynamic structure.

Bed Wetting. Birth-chart Constant: Heavy afflictions in Libra, or less commonly in Scorpio; or a prominent and afflicted Uranus.
Progressed Constant: Progressed aspects to the planets in Libra or Scorpio, or afflictions to Uranus.
Stellar Treatment: There may be, as indicated by the planets in Libra or Scorpio, a condition of the kidneys and bladder which make retention of the urine impossible. On the other hand, as indicated by a prominent and afflicted Uranus, the condition may arise through lack of nerve control.
If, as shown by the birth-chart constants, there is an affliction to kidneys or bladder, the planetary energies should be applied which are the antidotes of the planets in these signs. See treatment for adenoids and kidneystone.
This trouble in children often arises from a mental condition and nervous disorder due to the influence of the planetary energies of Uranus. In such cases whipping the child increases the difficulty, as the fear of the whipping decreases the nervous control.
Psychoanalysis and the application of suggestion during the thought-treatment of the solar plexus are indicated. The nervous condition is due largely to a mental maladjustment, and this must be reached by getting the confidence of the child, and corrected by removing the mental cause.
The planetary energy of Jupiter should be applied to the Uranus dynamic structure, and the Lunar etheric energies used abundantly to decrease the irritability of the nervous system. Excitement usually increases the difficulty . A calm, confident state of kind, free from rebellion against real or imaginary injustices, favors improvement.
Chart 247; males. Jan. 17, 1910, 9:00 p.m. 122-10W. 37-30N.
Jupiter in Libra opposition Saturn and Moon in Aries indicate real difficulties with the kidneys; and this is borne out by the development of adenoids. The nervous disturbances of Uranus also is present, as shown by Uranus conjunction Sun, square Saturn, Moon, Mars and Jupiter. He was repeatedly whipped when small because of bedwetting.
Beri-beri.Will be considered in an Astrological Report.
Biliosness.Birth-chart Constant: Jupiter prominent and afflicted. Heavy afflictions to the Moon or to planets in Cancer, such as cause the stomach to be unduly weak, may also incline to such attacks; but the Jupiter influence is the type influence of the difficulty.
Progressed Constant: An aspect, usually an affliction, to Saturn. Less commonly an affliction to Jupiter, or the Moon making a progressed affliction.
Stellar Treatment: What is known as bilious attack has nothing to do with the bile, although if catarrhal inflammation extends into the bile duct, obstructing its flow so that it passes into the system, the yellow skin and dingy yellow whites of the eyes of jaundice may appear.
So-called bilious attacks are due to taking into the stomach more food than the stomach can handle, or kinds of food that it can not handle. With the Jupiter birthchart constant the individual inclines to eat heartily, and to eat foods which are rich and difficult to digest. Then, when the stomach rebels at the amount taken, it ferments in the stomach. The vomiting to rid the stomach of its indigestible load, after a time brings bile into the stomach through the violent retching, which reverses the action of the small intestines for a short distance below the stomach. The bile was not unduly present in the stomach until the retching brought it there, and is only green when neutralized by the gastric juice.
To a person who customarily overloads his stomach, even a slight aspect of the progressed Moon to Saturn may bring on a bilious attach. The influence of Saturn is to depress the vitality. The Moon affects the stomach readily. What it commonly could handle is now too much for it. A progressed aspect to Jupiter may increase the amount, or give greater richness, to the food partaken.
No matter what the cause, when the vitality is lowsuch as when recovering from illness the stomach lacks the power to handle its normal amount and quality of food. Taking the condition of the individual at the time into account, it is safe to say that every bilious attack is the result of indiscretion in eating.
When there is bilious attack, therefore, the stomach should be given rest. And after it has had a rest, and eating is resumed, care should be excercised as to the kind of food and the amount partaken, and that the meals are not too close together. Some people have slow stomachs, and in the ordinary interval between meals, what has already been taken can not fully be handled. Meals should always be spaced sufficiently to permit complete digestion.
In addition to diet instructions, the inharmonious influence of the progressed aspect to Saturn should, when it is present, be charged through the application of Venus planetary energies. Both the etheric energies and the astral energies of the Sun should be applied harmoniously to the stellar dynamic structure which most shows the need of more vitality to enable the stomach properly to perform its function.
Chart 247, Jupiter and Saturn both prominent. Between the ages of 15 and 18 years, while Saturn was closely square Neptune r, and Venus was sesqui-square Jupiter r and Jupiter p, this individual suffered from sever bilious attacks.
Chart 314, with Jupiter on the Ascendant square the Sun in the 10th, had bilious attacks all her life. These were especially severe at the time for which the chart is progressed, 1926, when there were other difficulties, and the Sun was conjunction Saturn p.
Bills, Collecting. Will be considered in an Astrological Report.
Black Death. Will be considered in an Astrological Report.
Bladder Trouble.Birth-chart Constant: Afflictions in Scorpio, or less frequently, severe afflictions to Mars.
Progressed Constant: An aspect to the afflicted planet in Scorpio, or heavy afflictions to Mars.
Stellar Treatment: Depends upon the type of difficulty. The natural antidote should be applied to the dynamic stellar structure mapped by the planet in Scorpio. If Mars is involved, as is usually the case, Lunar planetary energies should be applied to its dynamic stellar structure. In all type of bladder difficulties both the Lunar etheric energies and the Lunar planetary energies are especially beneficial.
Chart 257; female. Feb. 16, 1893, 10:01p.m. L.M.T. 77-40W. 42-40N. Uranus in Scorpio in opposition to Mars in Taurus.
April, 1929, as progressed, with Venus sesqui-square Uranus in Scorpio, and Mars sesqui- square Saturn, had an infection of the throat which was accompanied by severe trouble with the bladder.
Bleeding.Birth-chart Constant: A prominent and afflicted Saturn and a prominent and afflicted Neptune.
Progressed Constant: An aspect to Mars, and commonly also aspect to Saturn or Neptune.
Stellar Treatment: The ability of the blood to coagulate is largely determined by the amount of adrenalin present in the blood stream. In those who are chronic bleeders, suffering from haemophilia, which is usually hereditary, there is a tendency to profuse and uncontrollable hemorrahage, even from the slightest wounds. Saturn and Neptune are birth-chart constants as stated, and their action upon the adrenal glands is such as to reduce the adrenalin output and otherwise disturb the normal chemical composition of the blood stream to such an extent that the blood can not clot.
The diet, thought-treatment, and stellar treatment, in such cases, therefore, should have for their end the strengthening of the adrenal glands. These glands must have the proper vitamins and mineral salts if they are to function properly. The dynamic structures mapped by Saturn and Neptune should receive the planetary energy which is their natural antidote; and in addition should be given vigor through the application of Solar etheric energies and Solar planetary energies.
When excessive bleeding takes place, either from these chronic bleeders, or in the case of a person who normally does not thus bleed, the progressed influence will be found to be an aspect to Mars. This is commonly true in excessive menstruation as well as in bleeding caused by injury.
Mars, quite as much as Saturn, has a direct influence on the adrenal glands and the secretion of adrenalin, on which the clotting of the blood depends. A progressed affliction to Mars commonly places the individual on some kind of a strain, in which the adrenalin supply is called upon repeatedly, and thus becomes exhausted. The diet, also, at such a time, may not supply the proper variety of proteins and the necessary vitamins to replenish the adrenalin supply. As a consequence the blood lacks its normal ability to clot, and bleeding of any kind, once started becomes difficult to check. In addition to treating the birth-chart constants, therefore, the Mars dynamic structure, and the place in the body where the bleeding takes place, should be given both Lunar planetary energies and Lunar etheric energies. If the condition is chronic the diet should receive attention.

Oct. 1931, as progressed, with Mars square Asc, r, Asc. sextile Mars p, and Venus and Mercury both square Neptune p, he had a tooth pulled, and it required two blood transfusions to save his life.
Blindness.See also Cataract. Birth-chart Constant: Moon severely afflicted by Mars. If Mars is prominent and afflicted, a severely afflicted Moon may cause trouble with the eyes. Even a strong harmonious aspect, such as the trine, between Moon and Mars may give eye difficulties of less severity, if the Moon is otherwise severely afflicted. Mars and the Moon are the factors in crossed eyes. In cataract, Neptune also is involved. Progressed Constant: A Mars progressed aspect, with severe rallying forces.
Stellar Treatment: The dynamic stellar structure mapped in the birth-chart by the Moon needs to be harmonized and strengthened through the harmonious application of Solar planetary energies. The thought-treatment of the solar plexus should be such as to bring the Moon energies and the Mars energies into a more harmonious relation. The eyes themselves should be given treatment with Lunar etheric energies.
The dynamic stellar treatment structure mapped by Mars should be harmoniously treated with planetary energies. And the rallying forces should be given appropriate planetary antidotes.
Mars and the Moon are planetary antidotes. Difficulty with the eyes indicates between these energies are in conflict. A more harmonious relation should be sought application of etheric energies, as well as planetary energies, all can be used to advantage to bring this about.
Chart 268; as progressed, with Mercury semi-square Mars, went blind of cataract. See Cataract.
Chart 263, given under Brain Fever, has Mars square Moon in the birth-chart. When this aspect became complete, as progressed, there was severe eye trouble. At 19 years of age, with Mars progressed to opposition Neptune and Pluto, again had severe eye trouble.
Chart 259; male. Aug.22,1885, 7:00a.m. 81-50W. 24-30N. Mars is in opposition to the Moon and semi-square Sun.
In the summer of 1914, as progressed, with Mars sextile Uranus p, and Mars sextile Pluto r, and the Asc. square Saturn as a rallying force, he was vaccinated. The poison injected into his blood at that time affected his eyes, and by December 1916 he was totally blind. As the pain continued, on May 12, 1931, under Sun progressed to the square of Mars r, he had both eyes removed.
Blisters. Will be considered in an Astrological Report.
Blood Poison.Birthchart Constant: A heavily afflicted Mars.
Progressed Constant: An aspect to Mars, and progressed afflictions which act as rallying forces.
Stellar Treatment: They chemicals which the body uses to neutralize toxins in the blood stream, and to resist invasion of the blood stream by bacteria are chiefly the secretions of the adrenalin glands, especially intercortin. An afflicted Mars tends to those conditions which upsets the chemical balance of the blood stream through depleting the supply of adrenalin and intercortin. A progressed aspect to Mars still further drains the already almost exhausted supply of these two chemicals. As a consequences there is no chemical in the blood either to resist invasion, or to counteract and neutralize the poisons which without such chemicals to neutralize them always are present.
The diet, thought-treatment, and stellar treatment, all should be directed to harmonizing and soothing the ever-activity of Mars, to the end of reestablishing a proper secretion of adrenalin and intercortin. A calm, well poised mental attitude should be encouraged, activity should be frowned upon, and the Lunar planetary energies and the Lunar etheric energies used to reduce feverish conditions and to restore the Mars dynamic structure to a more harmonious condition. Cuts, scratches and wounds of all kinds should receive proper antiseptic treatment, especially if there is a severe Mars affliction in the birth-chart, and an aspect to Mars by progression. By using an antiseptic before the blood is invaded relieves the adrenal glands of supplying an antiseptic to rid the blood of the invader. Chart 260; male. Feb. 17, 1911, 1:15 p.m. 1-15W. 53-30N. Boil. Gum.Will be considered in an Astrological Report.
Boil.-- See Carbuncle.
Bone Diseases. Will be considered in an Astrological Report.
Bowel Trouble.See also Peritonitis and Pyloric Trouble: Birth-chart Constant; An afflicted planet in Virgo, or much less commonly, a severely afflicted Mercury.
Progressed Constant: A progressed aspect to the planet in Virgo, or to Mercury, at the same time rallying forces afflict.
Stellar Treatment: Depends upon the type of the difficulty. The birth-chart constants and the progressed constants as they appear in the chart of the individual map the dynamic structures which should receive the planetary energies of their antidotes.
The thoughts of the individual are always very important in all types of bowel trouble, and he should be educated as to the type of thinking best for his particular case. The thought-treatment in the region of the solar plexus also should be quite thorough. Etheric energies should be employed specifically in the region of the bowels to carry planetary energies to their stellar structure, and to invigorate them,
Chart 262; male. Sept. 10, 1890, 7:20 a.m. 76-45W. 40N. Sun in Virgo square Mars. Saturn in Virgo square Neptune and Pluto, and sextile Venus.
By 1927, as progressed, with Mercury conjunction Asc. r, trine Neptune and Pluto, and sextile Moon r, and the Sun progressed to the conjunction of Uranus, the difficulty had become so severe as to paralyze the bowels, and they were operated on.
Brain Fever.Usually an affliction in Aries, but at time only an affliction to Mercury; and a prominent and afflicted Mars.
Progressed Constant: Some aspect to Mercury or the planet in Aries, usually both, and at the same time an affliction to Mars.
Stellar Treatment: There are two types of this disease. In one there is inflamation of the membrane and in the other inflammation of the brain substance. But the diagnosis and treatment are similar for both.
Whether it is the membrane or substance of the brain which is affected, the diet should restore chemical balance to the nerves by containing calcium. The dynamic structure mapped by Mercury should be given the planetary energies of Jupiter. The afflicted planet in Aries, if any, indicates the planetary antidote to be applied. But the chief energies in the effort to reduce the inflammation, which should be applied both to the dynamic structure mapped by Mars, and especially to the region of the brain, are the planetary energy of the Moon and the etheric energy of the Moon.
Where inflammation exists, repeated passes over the part with the left hand are always in order, and in brain fever are especially to be recommended. Lunar energies are these that best quiet and sooth and reduce inflammation.
Chart 263; female. No affliction in Aries, but Mercury is square Saturn. Mars is square Moon and square Venus. Jan. 17, 1892, 12:15.am. 81-45W. 41-30N.
At 12 years of age, as progressed, with Mars square Moon r, and Mars semi-sextile Mercury, suffered from brain fever.
Brain, Water on (Hydrocephalus). This is a child's disease and occurs in acute form and in chronic form. In the chronic form the affliction may exist before birth. Birth-chart Constant: Usually an affliction in Aries, but at times only an afflicttion to Mercury; and a prominent Moon afflicted by negative planets.
Progressed Constant: Some aspect to Mercury or the planet Aries, and usually an aspect to a negative planet.
Stellar Treatment: This complaint is dropsy of the brain. The Moon rules the back pituitary gland, the function of which is to keep a proper water-salt balance in the body (see lesson No. 223). An over active back pituitary causes water to be retained in the body unduly, and the affliction in Aries or to Mercury may cause it to be retained in the region of the brain.
The dynamic structure mapped by Mercury should be given the planetary energies of Jupiter. The afflicted planet in Aries, if any, indicates the planetary antidote to be applied. But the chief energies which should harmoniously be applied both to the dynamic structure mapped by the Moon, and especially to the region of the brain, in the effort to decrease the accumulating water, are the planetary energies and the etheric energies of the Sun.
When dropsy is present there are always negative influences to be overcome, which best can be done with solar energies. The Sun rules the thyroid activity, and increased thyroid activity tends to drive the water from the system. Where lethargy exists repeated passes over the part with the right hand are always in order, and in water on the brain are especially to be recommended.

Brethern: Difficulties With. The ruler of the 3rd house afflicted.
Progressed Constant: Some aspect to the ruler of the 3rd house.
Stellar Treatment: In B. of L. Report No. 7, 56 charts are analyzed for the time a brother or sister died. In all 56 there was a progressed major aspect to the ruler of the 3rd at the time of the loss, and in only 18% was this progression exclusively a good aspect. This report does not analyze the time of disagreement with brothers or sisters. However, such disagreements also occur under progressed aspects to the ruler of the 3rd; although, of course, the 8th house progressed aspect need not be present.
The rule should be to select the ruler of the 3rd which is most operative, and the planet which most afflicts this ruler of the 3rd, both in the birth-chart and by progressioin. The dynamic structures mapped by these planets should be treated with the planetary energies which are their antidotes. Also the whole of the zone covered by the 3rd house in the birth-chart should be treated with the planetary energy which will most readily transform the stellar cells there located into harmonious. compounds. The thought-treatment of the solar plexus, and the education, should also aim at harmonizing the 3rd house and its ruler.
